A/Prof Andrew Metz is Head of Endoscopy at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, having been previously Head of Endoscopy at Cambridge University Hospital in the UK. Fellowships at Westmead Hospital Sydney and Cambridge UK. Performs endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic mucosal resection, endotherapy for Barrett’s Oesophagus and luminal stenting. Also an accredited endoscopist for the UK BCSP, involved in promotion of quality endoscopy and audit. Particular interest in pancreatology, running a multi-disciplinary pancreatic clinic. Research interests include novel molecular markers in pancreatico-biliary lesions, being Chief Investigator for several international studies, and novel endoscopic devices for diagnostics and therapeutics, including confocal endomicroscopy and EUS-RFA.
